Foresta Shipping GmbH was founded in 1989. Its initial purpose to serve as a port agency company for the import and export of forest products to and from the port of Hamburg was the focus of the companies' activities throughout the 1990'ies.

Whilst Foresta Shipping is still acting as a liner and tramp agency in Hamburg further services are today being offered to its clients whose main markets are within European short sea trades.
 
Concentrating on the Baltic and North Sea region Foresta Shipping has been active as an operator especially for regular shipments of bulk commodities such as coal and aggregates. With the use of voyage and/or time chartered tonnage a competitive bulk cargo logistic mainly for intra Baltic short haul movements has been established.

SCAN Shipping is a shipping agent specialising in the clearance of ocean-going vessels of any size and commodity serving all ports along the entire coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, from Wismar all the way to Wolgast.

 
Beyond our own borders, our clients also receive land-based support from Swinoujscie, to Szczecin, all the way to Gdansk. This is provided by SCAN-Shipping Pol Ltd., which is based in Szczecin and Gdynia.
