SCAN Shipping GmbH Rostock was founded in 1990 as a subsidiary of BRISE Schiffahrt Hamburg. SCAN Shipping is a shipping agent specialising in the clearance of ocean-going vessels of any size and commodity serving all ports on the coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, from Wismar all the way to Wolgast.

SCAN Poland
1991 saw the formation of the agency SCAN-Shipping Poland in Szczecin which is responsible for the organisation and
management of a range of imported and exported loads of varying sizes, coming to and from Poland. It provides a full range of
agency services, such as managing and clearing ocean-going vessels.
SCAN Poland opened a second office in 1998, this time in
Gdynia, enabling it to offer its agency services in the ports of Gdynia and Gdansk as well. This puts SCAN Poland in all of Poland’s seaports, allowing it to provide its clients with the best possible support.
